The Founders Of Snowboard Rock Thrash The Independent Charts With Their Self-Titled Debut Album
It’s a nice mixture between 60’s Beach Rock and 90’s Grunge. The Beach Boys meets Nirvana. The songs have a tempo of a fast-paced 4/4 beat which gives it the surf sound and other songs are 1/2 time which brings in the grungy feel. This is the new hybrid invention of Snow-board Thrasher, Dave Cook. He calls it Snowboard Rock and his band is taking the independent music scene by snowstorm.
As a Utah native, he found his earliest inspiration with the Beatles, Beach Boys, Led Zeppelin, and a host of other bands who rose in the 60’s. Their unparalleled songwriting ability and original sound is only second to their live show. They come on like a hurricane in clubs and not a soul is left sitting at a table. They manage to make each audience lose their natural ability to relax. The drummer, Jake Larsen is a one-man earthquake and will frequently take drum solos throughout the set. This band is not one to be taken lightly.
The last time the world beheld a band this raw and original was when the Chili Peppers burst onto the scene! Download their self-titled debut album on iTunes and don’t miss the chance to see them live. They will leave feeling like you just endured a Grateful Dead concert, only your adrenaline will still be flying like a Leer Jet.
